Acrostic Poems
In my school, I learned about an exciting type of writing. This was when I was in third grade. Now in fourth grade, my teacher ( teaching a club activity called “The Write Stuff”) asked us to make an acrostic poem on imagination. But first, let me explain what an acrostic poem is.
Acrostic Poems
An acrostic poem is when you write a topic vertically and using the letters of the topic, you form sentences. Note: the topic has to be spelled from top to bottom only. For example: if I made an acrostic poem for the SUN this is how it would look like:
Shines brightly
Up in the sky
Night is when it sets
Acrostic poem on “imagination”
My teacher asked us to write an acrostic poem on the word ‘imagination’ and also added that we could write words if we couldn’t think of sentences. I decided to write a rhyming poem with some sentences. It turned out well and the teacher liked it. I hope you do too. Here it is:
